Hi everyone,
I am looking for any tips or ideas you want to see in my planned journey to recovery videos.
I have sooooo much to share in my journey from the nastiest wide spread pain that made me unable to walk lasting 2 years, to living the happiest most fulfilling life ever in just 8 months.
Some intesting things happened whilst still in my journey for recovery:
- got layed off from my job soon after I found out about sarno's book
- lived with Buddhist monks in silence for 7 days (meditation retreat)
- gone on 30 days intensive Muay Thai boxing in Thailand while still in significant pain
-went from fat to lean (12 kg weight loss)
-getting a new job and relocating
-changing my personality from goodist to not giving a fuck
-meditation, meditation and some more meditation
Writing about it will be too long so I want to put it in video(s). What do you guys want to see?
Here is a note I wrote to my ex-physioterapist couple of months ago. There is a video too in the link below.
Hi,
I was a bit unsure whether i should send you this email. I wanted to let you know what has happened after i left Norway and how I managed to heal from the 2 years of widespread pain. I think you will find it interesting because I had to go outside "medical mainstream" to find the solution.
Here is a video of me doing Muay Thai boxing in Thailand. If you remember at all how i was, you probably are not going to believe your eyes:

But most interestingly is how did I get there. After seeing so many doctors overall around 9 different specialist and all could not give me an answer or solution to all my pains (neck, wrist, elbow, back, sciatica, jaw), the pain kept moving from one place to another, it seemed like you resolve one thing and another one pops up. As I was searching online i came across this very popular book with very high reviews called "Healing Back Pain" by Dr John Sarno. That was sometime in December 2014. It was a time when i hit rock bottom and my sciatica was so bad i could hardly walk. I remember reading the book and couple of days after reading the book i had an appointment with you and I remember you saying "You are so much better than couple of days ago it is almost unbelievable". Since then, i saw you couple of times and then I left Norway and decided will stop all physical therapy exercises and follow precisely the book. I just kept getting better and better over the next few months. I would say I'm more than 95% healed now.
This book goes against everything medical mainstream says about all pains (back, sciatica, knee, neck, elbow you name it). He diagnoses all these conditions as TMS (Tension Myositis Syndrome). This websites gives an overview, it is made by people that healed from his book:
http://www.tmswiki.org/ppd/An_Introduction_to_Tension_Myositis_Syndrome_(TMS)
It doesn't believe in structural abnormalities (like disc herniation, slipped disc etc..) as ever being a source for back pain. The book describes how these persistent pains are due to repressed emotions of anger, guilt or other. When we become aware of them and understand the process of how the pain is there to distract us from them, that's when we start healing.
I thought i'd let you know, maybe you have other patients that were similar to me. Also I remember towards the end you started having persistent knee pain and if you still have it i would highly recommend reading the book.
I just want to also say that out of the different physiotherapists I had the best results with you and I believe that was due to how positive you were and confident which definitely had a great impact on my pain level.
I'm currently in Oslo for a month and I'm moving to uk after that to start a new job. Have a good weekend, hope you are doing well.
Regards.
