My doctor investigated my belly with het hands and measured yesterday the inflammation values in a drop of blood of my finger. And this value was slightly elevated. So this confirmed the diverticulitis diagnosis and was not based only on symptoms.
I'd be curious to know if you've ever had that blood test result in the last 12 years - because those tests can't just test your colon they test overall inflammation in the body (from my understanding). So that could be due to a number of reasons, and also a slightly elevated level of inflammation isn't uncommon and can be found in otherwise healthy/asymptomatic people (it can simply be a sign of general health, such as blood pressure).
According to these guidelines the inflammation should be gone within from a few days to 2 weeks.
Perfect! Hopefully that completely wipes your symptoms - either way, you'll have a much clearer picture in two weeks
But the assumption that tms symptoms are safe and there is no real physical problem is in this case less true then normally in the tms cases that I read about.
Perhaps, but TMS theory always suggests (it's more than a suggestion really, should be "requires") a person to be completely checked by the medical system. They are safe assuming that medical conditions are ruled out, so if doctors miss things then that's hard to account for - TMS is putting faith in doctors from that perspective also - that's where the assumption you talk about comes from, it's not irresponsible. TMS theory also encourages people to get re-checked when symptoms change wildly, so those situations are also captured (which seemed to have happened here, it's good/wise that you trusted your intuition and got it checked).
