Hello everyone,
I have anal pain for a little over 5 years now which started back when I had a thrombosed hemorrhoid. It did not go away and a year and a bit later I had a hemorrhoidectomy. This was a brutally painful recovery. A year later I had a second surgery as I was told I had more hems. After this I thought i developed pelvic floor dysfunction as my muscles seemed tight and I had a sensation a a golf ball in my rectum. Again thinking I still had a physically issue I went to my family doctor and was told I did still have a hemorrhoids even though she thought it shouldn’t be bothering me I decided to pay 6k and fly and get a laser hem surgery thinking this was the answer.
This was not the answer and in fact was extremely painful. I had to go back and get some sort of lump removed that was left after surgery. So I still had anal pain (golf ball / pressure feeling) after 3 surgeries and 1 procedure. I was still seeing a pelvic floor physiotherapist and yet nothing is changing.
I recently listened to “the way out” and it opened my eyes to the potential of TMS. My issue is that I have had so many surgeries down there that I have a tight anus and lots of scar tissue and now get bleeding as it is restricted from tightness. There is a minor physical issue I am aware of but how can I treat this as TMS even tho I know there is some physical issues.
Saying there’s nothing wrong with me isn’t necessarily true although I don’t believe that it’s causing all my pain. How can I go about this the right way ?
