Just an observation, but it's so clear that what you're talking about here can reinforce a TMS diagnosis, rather than cause doubt/fear. Life coming at you in a threatening way is a driver of TMS--that threatening part is what your brain (and the pain) is shielding you from. Well, trying to shield you from (it does not have to work! -- we don't have to let it work) and, unfortunately, you're buying into it.

In the end, you do know it's TMS--that seems obvious--but you're living on the fence, and it's not really possible to live there for an extended time. Not in any kind of satisfying or full-life kind of way.
