Hi All,
I have been here for a while, mostly because of back and butt pain. My back is doing much better these days, but I’m still experiencing pain in my butt and back of my legs. It’s like a burning feeling. I am a fitness instructor and work out a lot. I started going to a massage therapist...
Google grounding techniques. There are YouTube videos on it. I started doing this recently and it has kept me out of the rabbit hole of what ifs.
I’m not a fan of journaling either. But what might help is to jot notes on things that have you upset (vent), and then throw them away.

I want to add that once I stopped resisting my back pain and started observing it and allowing it to be there, that’s when it started subsiding. Yes, the way out is through, and we will make it through.
Could be TMS, but also could be a stress fracture. I had one in the 80s from high impact aerobics. Got well on its own but I did have to rest it. Took about 6 weeks. Maybe just go for an xray if it doesn’t seem to get better in a few days. Better to find out early if that’s what it is. If...

I have been on this site for about 6 years. Today may have been the worst back pain I’ve experienced since 2011 when I first noticed it. I am a full- time employee which requires me to sit at a desk in an office all day. I’m also a part-time fitness instructor and have been for 34 years. I see...
I love the gym, too. I have some days where I have extreme anxiety and burning pain before I go, but then I go and afterwards I always feel amazing! So I know it’s TMS. The more I just “go with” these feelings the less they control me. Work out however you want to and ENJOY it.
@JanAtheCPA I work soooo much. I work a 40-hour week and do 4 hours a week fitness instructing. It’s impossible me to notice every thought and immediately write it down. I’m lucky to sit down on the sofa by 8 pm every night. I’m beginning to wonder if I really need to simplify my schedule in...
