Amazing.
If it all came back today, what would you do? "Nothing" and commit to living life normally? Or would you take some course or do some techniques?
I ask because I got over it as well years and years ago. It came roaring back so I figured I had more "work" to do and couldn't...
Hi!
This is timely as I have been going down the Headache in the Pelvis route (stretching, trigger points with PT) and doing mindbody work.
I will say, for me, it's maybe 80% mind and 20% body (or maybe 100%, it is hard to tell).
When I first went in my muscles were crazy painful and my PT...
This is good advice that I will try to follow.
In regards to the question about feeling safe... That is very interesting because my gut reaction is that I DONT feel safe but I can't figure out from an emotional or cognitive level why that might be. Just a constant feeling ranging from general...
Having a bad flare up and am very angry and frustrated. Not at anything specific, just the pain I think.
I really feel like just a reaming a s hitting pillows and whatnot , but the Alan Gordon program says anger over symptoms just reinforces it.
What are people's experience with this?
Uh...not sure how to day this without sounding a certain way...but I hope you are doing a bit. If not you really ought to seek the help of a therapist as it seems like something more than TMS might be going on in your case
I have some conditioned responses, sine if which are very annoying and I'm getting frustrated in dealing with it.
The biggest one is laying down on the couch to watch TV or play video games or read after putting the kids to bed.
It's obvious to me that it makes no sense that pain was a 2 out...
Like most things it is how you approach it.
I usually feel great meditating, so I do it. It took awhile to get to the point where I genuinely enjoy it. It's a nice way of disconnecting from it all and getti g in touch with yourself... Or occasionally having a nap!
Now if I go Into it saying I...
If The fear vs safety model of TMS is accurate according to the new Alan Gordon program, I don't know why many people who dont know about TMS have their pain.
I've talked to many chronic pain people who are unaware of TMS and many say how they dont let it bother them or limit their activities...
TMS... cmon man!
I've had CPPS for about six months, and pretty bad dizzy/vertigo/off balance/"slow motion eyes" type sensations constantly for about three months before that with a week or so of a "bridge" between the two sets of symtpoms.
The CPPS had me all sorts of worked up and I went a...
@TG957
I think my cpps pain stems primarily from anxiety like you. I've had ten years of bad anxiety and panic attacks. When my daughter was born the intensity grew for a year before these pains started. Can never pinpoint why I'm so incredibly anxious.
Anyway, usually when the pain is around...
@TG957
Dealing with negative emotions..as I'm just feeling and acknowledging them? Or reframing thought patterns so you didn't have as many in the first place?
I think this is my hold up cause I don't feel any negative emotions except anxiety. If I try hard I can feel some out I'm not sure if...
