Day 25 how things are going

Herbie, thank you for all the information and encouragement you have given me over the past month. It has been both helpful and much appreciated! ! The one concept I don't think I quite grasp is the "floating". Thanks again and have a great holiday weekend.

Day 25 how things are going

Very little pain this weekend but some moderately intense anxiety. Had an epiphany regarding the emotional eating; I was keenly aware that I thought of food when I wanted to distract myself.

Day 25 how things are going

Here at day 25, I have my ups and downs with pain. At this very minute, I feel virtually pain free. However, last night was filled with pain in the back and left leg. Unfortunately, I don't feel hopeful that I will be pain free tonight. So since I already have it in my head, I have set...

Day 17 Update & the experience of compassion

I'm glad I read this ( and you wrote it!) The ideas of dialoguing and then showing compassion for the body part. My butt/ leg are just trying to help me and here I've been hating on them. Now I will br much more understanding with them. Thanks!

Day 10 break up and back pain

I started this program at the same time my 12 year relationship is ending. And boy did my back get hit hard , almost to the point of not being able to move. My usual tms pain is an aching in the left butt, hip and leg and is pretty consistent. The back pain was a "9" yesterday until I had a...

    Day 8 so hard

So hard figure out what emotions are at the root of the pain. And speaking of the pain, having a difficult time not focusing not the pain. Days 4,5,6 noticed pain had decreased to low level ache and today back up to full force. Frustrated.

    Day 1 have had enough

Thank you. I do trust what you're saying about giving up the focus and worrying about the pain. I am committed to seeing this program through and as a result I will recondition myself. Thanks again

    Day 1 have had enough

I hadn't thought about the pain showing up somewhere else! Better stick to this program. Thanks for the self compassion advice. I am pretty hard on myself. I look forward to the day when I don't worry about the pain. Thanks again!
