    Truth be told? I have become pretty disenchanted with the method I was following and I figured it can't hurt to take another pass at the SEP.

    If you're not familiar with me here, I'll sum it up. My TMS started young with chronic gastritis in high school and cancer in my early 20s. I've had anxiety for a long time and subsequent hamstring tendinopathy, multiple bulging and herniated discs, FAI and bilateral hip labral tears, and knee arthritis. I'm a runner and lifter who doesn't want to give up either.

    I go back and forth in my TMS belief but I'm working on it. I have a solid mentor here and have met some great people already. So cheers for another run.

    @Rusty Red
    I did the SEP twice!
    The second time around, I could offer myself so much more compassion, and also give myself kudos for being awesome enough to tackle this really hard thing twice. Halfway through, it dawned on me that even though I was working through this again, I didn't really have to. I was enough as is. I completed it again, with that knowledge and it's been all uphill from there.
    May you remember every second of every day that you are a pretty awesome, and tuff cookie and that you are enough, just as you are. You've shown that over and over again to this community.

    Hi there I have a question?
    I think my current issues, chronic daily (tension) headaches that have made me suicidal ( not your standard headache) ear fullness with occasional pulsating tinnitus and a lump in my throat that can feel like I'm choking are all TMS, I'm pretty sure of it given structurally there's no issues on MRI and with a camera down my gullet
    I had started to wonder if my lower back pain on and off for over 10 years is also TMS but it's something that's annoying more than debilitating but physios have always suggested the back pain was due to the labral hip tear that I had surgery for in 2017.. I hadn't even considered this TMS as it's a physical structural tear..
    Are you saying you think your tears or associated pain that was blamed on the tear is TMS. My surgery definitely improved my pain but it has returned on and off never as bad..
    What TMS techniques have you used in the past ?

    Hi @Dee.1983. So my disc issues, I try to lean into the belief that they don't cause pain as has been shown in so many studies. For my hip issues, I have clear structural issues with the impingement and tears, but the pain has gone on for quite some time and just doesn't really make sense for the diagnosis. My hamstring I question a lot but like the back, I'm trying to believe as Sarno said that tendon issues are also TMS.

    As far as techniques, I was using Nicole Sachs' JournalSpeak with meditation. I decided to take a break and take another run through the SEP and the journal prompts here, as I feel I have hit a bit of a plateau.

    Good luck on your journey!

    That you for explaining Rusty - I hope this time around things work well for you. I listen to Nicholes podcast a lot but have not yet tried JS as I think its easy to just overload yourself with tools and then it all just becomes another job and from what I've read so far that approach isn't an ideal way to tackle this 'healing journey'.
    I look forward to reading future posts from you.
