Day 8 recognizing emotions

Are you having success at recognizing the emotions connected to your pain? If you have, how do these emotions make you feel? If not, what do you think is preventing you from doing this?

So here I am day 8 and whilst my symptoms are much the same I am defiantly spiralling less, there have been no major melt downs ( omg I'm stuck like this for ever tears) since last Saturday.
Partly because I've discovered wearing a headband seems to really reduced the intensity of my headaches and comes with no nasty side effects - although I'm wondering is this using avoidance too much - even if so not going to stop as some relief is so desperately needed. Also in part because I have a tiny bit of hope that this MBS stuff might help it's helping my mood (most of the time) even if not my symptoms which is a bonus right.
However as for connecting symptoms to emotions, there's nothing. My head pressure starts every day around 2pm and by 5pm turns from pressure to mild pain and then grows from there. It doesn't matter what I'm doing working / with friends / watching T.V / reading / gardening.
I could be stressed at work or equally enjoying sunbathing in my hammock. I could be halfway through coffee and cake and engrossed in conversation with a friend or hoovering.
I have tried to sit with it and see what I am feeling but I don't feel anything much. It hit me really hard once when I was half way through lunch with my parents laughing and enjoying myself, I believe I was feeling joy at that time. The head symptoms are more based on the time of day / how long I've been awake, than the situation or feelings ( that I'm aware of). So what tools can I use to help with this and why oh why is there this time associated with it. I have wondered if I spent an entire day unaware of the time from the moment I woke if when the pressure started and if I then time checked whether it would be 2ish!!
I think I just really struggle to feel any emotions now. Apart from fear - I know that one very well, which is ironic as my sister recently described me as brave and I can not tell you the number of friends who have said you'll get through this you are one of the strongest people I know. !

TMS becomes what we call a conditioned response when it gets in a habit of making symptoms at certain times and places. It does this for most of us. Usually something was going on the first time it happened— then it just stuck. The way out is working at all the healing steps. And especially not panicking when your headache comes. Say, “oh hello! I’ve been expecting you. Come on in.” That tells your TMS brain that you’re not afraid. Fear is like pouring gasoline on a fire. TMS is the fire.

Diana thank you, very helpful. Tomorrow I'll try and welcome it in. See if I can be more curious and less scared.
    Easier said than done right!
