My Story
4 years of crippling back/leg pain, 3.5 years after surgery, and not giving up hope. I refuse to accept that I have to live the rest of my life with so much suffering. Found Sarno and TMS 18 mos ago, but I trust I wasn't ready physically and psychologically (you know the story ... meds, sleepless nights, anxiety, depression, no job, tried Sarno's exercises and I wanted to believe this could help, but hadn't gone thru Acceptance phase.) Found Schubiner's Unlearn you Pain book, spoke with Alan Gordon, and I'm on my way now. Pain from an 8 to 4 in first trial (self-empathy) exercise Alan recommended. I'm committed and hopeful. I have MBS (TMS) and I can cure myself. - Loading...

My Story
- Gender:
- Male
- Location:
- Boulder, Colorado
- Occupation:
- landlord
- Introduction:
- I'm just starting this journey and it's hard. I climb big mountains over long periods of time up and down uncharted and untraveled terrain. I have managed to master my 'self' well enough to accomplish these type of feats. My unconscious brain is making this process really difficult and feel really scary. Reading through stories and listening to Alan's sessions helps. I want and need the support and camaraderie.
- Diagnoses:
- Ongoing debilitating back / leg pain from 3 year old Lumbar microdiscectomy surgery. 3 herniations. Most recently, 2 rotator cuff tendons have tears. I have MBS (TMS) and I can cure myself.
