  • My Story

    I am a TMS personality.
My live with pain started about 30 years ago. First there was pain in my jaws, which I grasped as toothache, endless, annoying ..
Then started stomach ache, later IBS, sometimes IBS and stomach ache alternated, sometimes they were simultaneously. All tests without any results.
Almost the same time I developed pain in lower back, increasing with the years. I could not sit without pain, worked in standing position. MRIs showed herniated discs. I tried physical therapy, osteopathy, acupuncture, injections, gymnastics for the spine, all without significant improvement.
Some years later I developed additional pain in the neck, radiating into the back of the head. My orthopedist told, it is wear of the spinal column in the neck. Nothing helped.
Further pain in my thumbs, tinnitus.... depression, psychotherapy...
In 2015 I started reading Dr. Sarnos "Healing Back Pain". Since then my pain level in the lower back and the neck decreased to 5 – 10 %. I have not dreamt such amelioration, it was a bliss, it was so great!!!!
I started running, cycling, gardening again!!! All activities I love and had given up years ago. - And I overcame my depression.
When I started running I developed pain in my right knee. My orthopedist told me it is osteoarthritis, moderate exercise is important, but I should wear a knee bandage when running and run only on soft ground. This went on some months. Later I started reading "The Divided Mind" by Dr. Sarno , "The Great Pain Deception" by Steven Ray Ozanich and "TMS Recovery Program" by Alan Gordon. - Then I could understand the knee pain as TMS, I continued running without knee bandage and the pain vanished.
My current state (2017): IBS is troubling me. All the other symptoms are gone or decreased enormously.
