I had many RSI's in my body throught the years - but this thread is about wrist problem - de quervain tenosynovitis.

Wrist RSI started some years ago by a physical injury (hardcore gaming on my phone using thumbs).

I had multiple flare-ups during the years - alwasy both hands- sometimes resolved with time, physio, once with cortisone shot.

My recent flare up started with no clear reason - I haven't used my hands in unusal manner. But I have a home renovation coming and I kept telling to myslef - "I really hope I won't have a flare up now". And I got one.

Went to a doctor - he examined me manually and said: bracing/ physio / antinflamatory meds. Again I started the procedure. I was searching for self massage techniques on yt and I saw this video: I'm super sceptical but - this guy is so convincing. I downloaded the Mindobdy Prescription and read it. I removed braces and stopped physio and excersises. I got a bit better.

Than I found out abot this Educational program and started doing it - I'm at day 29th.

I was starting to get dissapointed - the pain still persisted and I started to think that I'm fooling myslef with this TMS bullshit. I wasn't happy reading about these instant success stories desribed in Sarno book.

So I read another book by Fred Amir - again high expecations and no results.

Than I consumed multiple resources. But two of them resonated with me - interviews with Howard Schubiner and a guy running yt channel "Pain Free You".

Using their advice I booked a doctor appointnemnt 4 days ago and asked for a thorough ultrasound of my affected wrist tendons - I was lucky beacuse the doctor was cooperative and he examined my entire forearms and said that it looks 100% correct - no inflamation. He said that it must be something with nerves and my spine, but I already knew what's going on.

Next day I went to a gym for a first time since flare up, ignored pain and did workout. Two days after I did the same - the pain is now subsiding and I'm using my hands normally. This is incredible!

I wanted to give this update because there may be other people like me - without success and heavily dissapointed. If your super skeptical to snake oil like me - maybe try more modern nuerologically oriented approach by Howard Schubiner, because Dr Sarno books might not work for you.

What's most important - go to the doctor and do all scannings and examinations that show if you have structural damage - like tendon inflamation - hearing that your tendon looks 100% healthy during ultrasound is a total gamechanger!

    I'm continuing the program.
