I caught up on SEP forum posts before continuing on with SEP Day 19 prompts. I had a lot of thoughts/responses to @djamesharm’s post that mentioned the Egoscue approach because I had experienced great benefits from those exercises over the course of decades. But as i wrote my post in reply to @djamesharm i worried that I was veering his post into a different train of thought and instead put my thoughts into the “fear of walking” thread, a prompt for Day 19.
My mind has been turned upside down by the suggestion(s) i received to my Day 18 prompt, don’t dwell on describing the pain(s), lump it all as TMS symptom and maybe the emotion i am trying to uncover is guilt/shame and to look at what is driving how I’m judging myself.
Sometimes I worry about wanting to get deep into describing my problems even though i am not feeling the level of painful TMS symptoms that first brought me to this wiki. At what point is my mind coping well enough with my stress that I am no longer a bonafide member of the wiki? But if its all psychological isn’t having an outlet for working through my life’s problems what this community is all about? Is my questioning whether its ok for me to continue on this wiki even though my TMS symptoms only flare occasionally just another instance of negative thinking?
The psychological, philosophical, and spiritual depth of where these SEP prompts are taking me is mind-blowing. This whole mindBody way of thinking doesn’t seem to stop at the mind and body.
It would be so amazing to be “old-age” pain-free.
