I had an acute pain due to cervical disc bulging in Jan 2017 and subsequently was tested positive for HLAB27, a gene marker for Ankylosing Spondylitis in Apr 2017. I was at my lowest point in Apr 2017, ended up with a flare where I had to be on bed rest between 2-3 hours gap and the rheumatologist prescribed NSAID. I told myself "This can't be me for the rest of my life, I am worse than an invalid", so I started searching online and stumbled upon TMS together with other success stories. I believe I may have TMS ... So I followed Dr Sarno's "Healing Back Pain" 1st page guide, started resuming my physical activities and signed up for a yoga class. Currently, I am on a 6-month no pay leave.
What would a life without TMS mean to me?
1. Able to do whatever I want, not restricted by concerns like doing this will hurt my neck / spine
2. Uncover what I have been repressing & let it go, express myself & not to repress anger or anxiety
3. Be happy
My concerns:
1. Would I be normal again?
2. How not to repress emotions?
3. What to do if the pain is back?
Thanks! Wish me luck in this journey.
