Day 4- feeling good about this TMS wiki! I feel like because I have the right treatment to my symptoms I'm going to get better, just got to stick at it.
The most disheartening thing a doctor has ever told me was actually… nothing. I was 19 years old, I had a great love of sport and going to the gym, and already the tendency to over worry, when I developed pain all over my body. Excruciating pain which i saw doctor after doctor and physio after physio. My physiotherapist said I had one leg shorter than the other and that was causing my pain, which was odd because it had never caused me pain up until now. But the insole he gave me didn't help the pain. Then I went to the doctor again who referred me to a specialist. We spoke about how maybe the pain was caused by my acne drug accutane… but the conversation concluded by him saying nothing. The medical practice had literally given up on me. This was it… Id been through the system, had no cure and was sent on my way with nothing… I then started googling things like crazy. But of course, you get loads of responses from the internet with pain. The only thing that I could find that related to me was either tendonitis is every part of my body…. or 'fibromyalgia'. I began to research fibromyalgia to which I found there was no cure. I thought my life was over… I contemplated suicide regularly when ever the pain really hurt… but then eventually I found out about TMS and how Dr John Sarno refers to fibromyalgia as basically a synonym of TMS and now I'm working to get better… Im only on day 4 but I've read Dr. John Sarnos book about 5 times now… my pain still hurts often with certain things, I think because I've had the pain for two years now I have really bad conditioning. But I'm going to continue with the Wiki and I pray by the end I will be better… then maybe I can go back to my doctor and explain that I had TMS. I also look forward to helping others with the condition when I am better myself.
The only positive thing about the post, apart from that I've finally discovered what condition I have, is that at 19, last year, I was able to find out about TMS. In the age of information the success of Sarno's work will spread and as people look online for their cure more and more people will be directed to TMS wiki and more and more people will be cured. The future is bright!
