Day 4 What was the most disheartening thing a doctor has told you about your symptoms?

The most disheartening thing was probably, when my doctor shrugged his arms and told me, that only physioterapy can help me with my shoulder/arm/hand and head pain. This was after me doing exercise pretty frequently for a last year or so.. Untill this time I was pretty sure it has to be structural cuased pain. After he told me, that only I can help myself I was upset and depressed. I was working pretty hard, but physio didnt help me enough. Maybe it was good in the end. He didnt persuade me for surgery, instead he said it is caused by my winged shoulderblade and let me go.. My shoulderblade will be probably off its place for ever, but there is no reason for pain Im facing. Therefor Im here, hopefully ready to discover my inner self and heal.

Hi, Jaromir. A cancer specialist once wanted to open my neck because of a tiny pimple he saw. I insisted on a culture be taken first and it
turned out to be just a small water blister. I think doctors, like that surgeon, often may jump to conclusions. His diagnosis scared the hell out me
and if I hadn't had the culture taken, he would have opened my neck for nothing.

I discovered TMS more than two years ago. It healed my severe back pain after I journaled and discovered repressed emotions I had since I was seven andmy parents divorced.

I think you will heal if you keep practicing TMS healing and believe in it.

Good luck and keep posting about your progress.

Thank you Walt for encouragement. It is difficult for me to find enough time right now, but Im glad I know about this concept and I can continuously study it. I really have to find time and place for journaling..
Even if I will get rid of just a little of my pain, SEP will be always a great benefit, as I can discover my inner feelings, and I will able to understand myself a little bit better.

The most disheartening was when my last rheumatologist sat me down and said that if I didn't take the medications he was prescribing I was most certainly going to die! He drew a diagram on paper showing me what I would die from. He also said he would fire me as a patient if I did not cooperate. The discussion still lingers in my mind as I vowed to never go back. But, the diagram has stuck in my head and caused emotional upset for months wondering if I would die from any of the things in the diagram. Unfortunately, I can't remember what the 4 were, but I remember heart failure, organ failure etc.. he said if I didn't divorce my husband and get my financial aspects in touch that I was certainly going to get worse! There were many disheartening doctors over the years that stated things like "no cause or cure" diseases and diagnosis. And, that I most likely will always be in chronic pain, but the rheumatologist was the worst. I wish I would have reported him to the AMA at the time.

mncjl123 - oh my, that is awfull experience. Im glad I never met doctor like that, I can imagine how it affected your view of modern medicine. So how is your present health condition? Are you trying TMS approach and does it help you? Good luck.

Wow! I would have fired him as my doctor! Very insensitive! I hope very much that TMS treatments work for you!
