I have enjoyed the journaling a lot. It is allowing me to explore my emotions and thoughts in much more depth. I have always been "in my head" but I think there was a lack of in depth exploring that stifled progress. It is so interesting that it took so long, in my life, but also in this program dedicated to identifying repressed emotions, that I have started to acknowledge my repressed anger! I always knew about my guilt, but I often joked about it, or failed to give it the importance that it has had in my life. I lump guilt and shame together as well.
Up until today, I have been focusing on attending to myself when pain is starting, but I am realizing that it is about attending to myself all the time, when there is no pain, in order to prevent pain from starting. I am a slow learner, but I grateful for this program, and the people in this forum that have been helping along the way! Thanks.
