You journal and find something upsetting. How do you deal with that? What is the desired outcome - remembering the situation without feeling bad? Forgetting it, not thinking about it? Changing it in your mind to pretend it happened differently?

Let's collect what to do in case you find a traumatic event.

You feel it. Cry, get angry, grieve, .........whatever feeling comes up in your body, let it express itself. Don't repress it or suppress it. It's not about thinking, but about feeling.
