Our TMS drop-in chat is tomorrow (Saturday) from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Eastern (***NOTE*** now on US Daylight Time). It's a great way to get quick and interactive peer support, with Steve2 as your host. Look for the red Chat flag on top of the menu bar!

We need chat mods!

    Hi everyone,

Ever week, on Saturday, we run a "drop-in" chat room. Basically, it's a place where people can "drop in" and get feedback on their experiences from peers (everything is peer-based: if anyone has medical or mental health concerns, they need to see a practitioner).

The conversations can be wonderful and there are usually regulars who come back every week. It's much like a the forum, but it is a bit more interactive and conversation. You type things and see what other people type in "real-time."

It's definitely worth dropping in some Saturday, between 3 and 4 PM Eastern US Time (New York). Just click on this link using a computer, phone or tablet:

(it only works on Saturdays between 3 and 4!)

We are looking for new moderators for the chat room. A moderator is just someone who is in the chat room to ensure that the room is not empty, so that anyone who drops in has a peer to chat with. As a tiny nonprofit, we do not have resources to provide training for more than that, but a good moderator will greet people and draw people out if someone's question is getting ignored. There's more to it than that, but if you are good with people, it is pretty easy to learn. More details about being a moderator are available on request.

If you would be willing to learn more about being a chat moderator, please post here!
