Our TMS drop-in chat is tomorrow (Saturday) from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Eastern (***NOTE*** now on US Daylight Time). It's a great way to get quick and interactive peer support, with Bonnard as your host. Look for the red Chat flag on top of the menu bar!

Hi Sanghagirl, I'm glad you posted this. Ups and downs are definitely a very common part of TMS healing and just come with the healing process for a lot of people. It gets easier to move on from them as you go on. You learn to recognize them even more quickly and know that they are just a temporary phenomena.

In terms of working very hard at it, we TMSers are natural strivers, so I hope you'll give yourself permission to take a nice "allowing" approach. It sounds like reading a chapter from Dr. Sarno really helped, but, other than that, do you think it might work to just allow the feelings to come and then allow them to go again? There is a good chance that they are just there to distract you, so it's good to just allow them to come and allow yourself (if it comes easily) to focus on the parts of life where you can find joy, even if those are very tiny points right now. Also, allowing yourself to take time off from everything can be a grand thing.

In terms of working very hard at your recovery, I made a video about it that may or may not be helpful:

I love that I'm replying to your video with a video. :) They can be a lot of fun to make.
