Yes, anxiety does play a big part in a Trans Global Amnesia episode. I have been handling TMS and anxiety for 4 years now, with the help of the wiki and other resources. Meditation and tai chi, affirmations and other relaxation tools are part of my daily practice. I thought I was quite sucessful. I do believe TGA is TMS because there is no cause, no way to prevent it and no after effects. It comes and goes, usually once, or at the most twice in a lifetime. It is rare and bizarre. Perhaps I have taken on more activities than I can safely manage and need to cut back. How do we tell if we have gone too far in our efforts to live a normal life? This episode has shaken my confidence.
