    Hi everyone,

The 2014 documentary, The Connection has come up several times on our forum in the last year. I'm happy to say that in celebration of its first birthday, a website called "Food Matters TV" is showing the entire documentary today for free.

    Here's the link:

Tomorrow there is a live call with the founder of MindBodyGreen, one of the people featured in the film.

I've signed up for it and have the movie running right now. There don't seem to be any catches, but you have to act quickly. There's a brief advert at the beginning, but you can fast forward through it.

Here are two threads about the documentary that is free today:

I've watched the film before and think it is well done and very interesting.

If you miss today's free online screening, you can always purchase the film at the following link to support the filmmakers:

Perhaps it is a form of schadenfreude, but as someone who has run hundreds of teleconferences and faced the inevitable technical hurdles that come with them, it's a big relief to see that an organization with a beautiful huge office space and clearly a large budget is having problems, too - in fact more than we've ever had!

Piping live video over the internet is just hard. With live video, there is little room for error with fluctuations in the internet connection (if someone's neighbor starts downloading an HD video, it can ruin your own feed), and you don't have much control over your guest's equipment. It's ugly. Plus, whatever services you use, they may have bugs and there's just nothing you can do. (They're using a Google product, possibly with plugins, but it seems to be having problems.)

Walt, I used the first link in Forest's post:

    https://www.fmtv.com/live?FMTV=1036

It requires setting up a quick account (email, password). You then log in to access the videos. Looks like the free part is closing Tuesday, 3/31. There are 4 documentaries on the site. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Very moving movie about miracles that happen to a few people. But not really a tms movie in my opinion

Why do you say that, Marco? What makes it not relevant to people with TMS?

Should we limit ourselves to books and videos only by TMS practitioners? That would be too bad, because the book that helped me the most after The Divided Mind was Hope and Help For Your Nerves, written in 1969, long before Dr. Sarno came up with his theories about TMS. The third book that blew my mind wide open (and an open mind helps when you are doing this work) was When The Body Says No by Dr. Gabor Mate. Dr. Mate's theories totally mesh with the information in The Connection.

This work is all about the mind-body connection. I'll recommend whatever it takes for someone to finally understand and accept 100% that YOU are in control of your mind and body, that you can change the inherent negative wiring of your brain, and that you CAN heal yourself - and that you can heal yourself from a lot more than back pain.

I stand corrected i also got a lot of help from Claires books and i guess it would help some people but i think accepting stress as a healthy modality just sounds ridiculous.

Let me say that i have read and done numerous other things regarding tms approach to healing and the best advice i got was from Steve O and he told me to change my life and start to be happy again.

Oops, Marco, you've mixed up two of your discussions - this one is about the film The Connection, not the stress topic :D
