Is needing a total knee replacement TMS or not? I am 64 and I am doing this work for a painful pelvic floor disorder that I now know is TMS. It made me start to wonder about my knee. I am scheduled for a total knee replacement in September. I read in Howard Schubinars book that degeneration due to age is not TMS but there is a lot on the knees. I have had one knee replacement, surgery went good, no pain after. Four years later now this other one. I do not have a ton of pain. My xrays showed bone on bone and some fragments of cartiledge. My knee is swollen, stiff, I sometimes cannot bend it or straighten it and just does not work like a knee should.
