Day 42 The end or a new beginning

I found this site because I was desperate for help. I had bounced all over the internet in the last year looking for more information on this mind body thing. I wanted to find something which gave me a step by step process. As helpful as reading a book here and there was (The Way Out / Alan Gordon or Mind Your Body / Nicole Sachs, The Presence Process / Michael Brown), I wanted something with structure. I came across TMS wiki and thought, 'what the hell', I'll post a few questions and see what happens. I was pleasantly surprised to get warm responses back from some forum regulars. They provided words of encouragement and all responses suggested I join the Structured Educational Program. It wasn't really on my radar to undertake a course but I had nothing to lose.

While I still think of myself as in the early days of overcoming emotional and physical pain, I'm soo glad I found this site. I think the SEP is fantastic and just what I was searching for. I needed to do daily work to gain a much better understanding of mind body / TMS. It has been so helpful in providing insights and understanding, and the fact that it's not a one and done type of thing. Rather, an education in mind and body. When I read Alan Gordon's book 'The Way Out' last year, it provided me with hope, but I was confused about how to listen to the pain and not fear it. Now I know when fear-based pain takes hold of me.

It seems like I'm at the start of my journey and what was once a chaotic mess of pain and confusion, now there is hope and a little more calmness. I would highly recommend everyone that comes to tmswiki.org to take the time and go through the program.

Thanks to everyone for their support @Diana-M @JanAtheCPA @Joulegirl @mrefreddyg @Cactusflower to name a few.

Wonderful I am so happy for you Mando! Structure can be king for mindbody work, really helps with the confusion of where to start and what to do. I constantly am amazed by what an amazing free resource the SEP is.

I commend your commitment and that change, at whatever speed - there is no right or wrong speed, is happening for you. Puts a big old grin on my face to hear it. Go Mando!!

@Mando,
I’m so happy to hear this! It warms my heart so much. I feel like once a person gets to this place where you are, they will get better. But believe it or not this is the hardest place to get to— and you did it! You will make it from here. ❤️ So glad you joined us here on the forum.

Cheers mate. It's been great having forum regulars provide support when I was stressing out!
