How often do you have an epiphany?
[IMG]In psychology, the term is often used when a client experiences a deep release of emotions associated with an awareness of repressed feelings. This breakthrough often frees the individual to examine underlying causes of a problem so that he can address it more clearly and move on.
In layman’s terms, it is often called the “Aha” moment. It is the moment when clarity and wisdom connect and you have a deep level of understanding that was otherwise fleeting before. It happens really, all the time. I remember in college struggling through my Physics class, not understanding the concept of Quantum Physics and how that relates to anything in my world. Except, one day, something “clicked” and it all made sense. While my experience was trivial, it was nevertheless a Eureka moment and exhilarating. I actually got an “A” in the course! My husband had an Aha! moment when he went to sleep after a grueling 8-hour business workshop and woke up the next day understanding the context of his place in the scheme of things. This kind of awakening happens often, where you have a sudden breakthrough of vision. Each time it can be life altering and transformational.
It is important to seize these moments and use them to change your life. This is what happens:
    1. You may be plagued with a problem and all of a sudden you just know what to do.
    2. You experience a powerful understanding and for the moment you have all the answers.
    3. You come across some quiet moments of introspection and receptivity that you didn’t have before.
    4. Your new wisdom and knowledge is easily put into action, when before it all seemed a struggle.
Sometimes, the truths that you experience can be painful and unhappy. But they always offer solutions to problems you’ve been dealing with for some time.
Think of these moments as special gifts and value them, with appreciation. After all, you were blessed with an illumination of insight that just came to you. How empowering it feels to transform yourself from being clueless to an elevated state of peak performance. The “Aha” moment resembles a profound spiritual experience, where the missing pieces fall into place. These nuggets of wisdom change your life, refocus your direction and offer new opportunities for growth and development.
