Hi all,
Many of you will know me as I was very active on this forum last year as I had pain in my buttocks and used TMS methods to get rid of my pain. I even got to the stage where I was helping people I knew with back pain by giving them lectures over a cup of coffee and helping them. I was totally liberated, my pain was gone and had I found my calling in life?
Anyway, fast forward a year and I am back on this forum ask for advice. My pain in the buttocks has now completely subsided, but I now have pain in my hips, which I believe could be arthritis, which Dr. Sarno says is Type 2 TMS (the causation is repressed emotions on top of extrinsic factors).
The pain comes and goes and moves all over the place. Even writing this I know that it's TMS haha I feel so stupid coming on here and asking you guys questions.
Anyway, I believe that for me to be able to apply TMS methods again and 100% believe that the pain in my hips are part of the symptom imperative then I have to rule out serious illnesses.
Therefore, what tests would you recommend?
Here is what I am thinking: MRI to check for any structural damage i.e. laberal tears, ESR/anti-CCP tests, EMG to check for nerve damage, HLA-B27 test, and maybe even test for STI's.
Anything that I have missed would be appreciated. I think ultimately I want to check for cancer, as I do have many lumps around the hips/groin.
P.S. I live in Thailand and when I go talk to the doctors I get an x-ray and get told there is no bone damage and giving some muscle relaxants.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
