We have snow *smiles* I haven't seen snow fall so steadily since living in Alaska. It isn't much by that standard, but it is far more than we've experience for a while. Lucy loves it *bigger smile* We are camping out in our not-finished-reconstructed home. The mattress is in the living room in front of the wood stove, which we tend all night. We've been living in a 34 foot Bounder for 18 months. I love living in the small space. I feel safe and contained. This house isn't large, but it feels huge in comparison. I am unsettled and bemused.

This makes me SO much happier than when I look outside my window. We got snow...but it's slush-snow. Gross.
...also your snow has an adorable dog walking around in it, which just makes everything better

Our snow is melting, sadly. While I cannot endure cold for more than short periods, I so love the sound of snow under my boots, and the glitter it reflects in the sunlight.

Lucy is really enhancing our lives. Anxiety arises with the added cost, but I know I will give up whatever necessary for her. Animals are NOT disposable, and no matter how bad things get, she is our family member until the end.

She is making longer and longer eye-contact, which means she is starting to trust us. She does so love to lay on the couch between us, and she sleeps considerately in our bed.

It is fascinating to consider the multitude of events that intersected in order to bring her into our lives. It took so many variables. And here she is.

    *happiness*

    with grace and much gratitude,
    ^_^
