I think the answer is obvious.

It doesn't matter.

Work on fixing yourself and if you personality changes, it changes. You're not going to turn into a raging a*****e. It will be for the better.

It's not really changing your personality to me as it is becoming who you always have been/are - you are who you are behind all the fear, insecurity, people pleasing, perfectionism etc. You are who you are for that 5 mins in your room dancing around when no one is watching (as an example - people describe themselves as being able to be their true selves in their safe place). So technically you are changing but it's from your mask self to your true self :)
