Shop at Amazon.com and support this forum & the nonprofit behind it

Hi there, I am new to this site, my question is does this apply to amazon.ca as well as I am a Canadian resident and do my shopping on .CA and not .COM?

Liana

Hi Liana,

I had the same question about purchases from Amazon.co.uk. But I'm assuming the Amazon.com account is linked to the non profit which is registered in the USA. So it would only apply to purchases from the .com and Amazon itself, rather than 3rd party resellers. Would that be a correct assumption @Forest?

Hi Mike,

I think your assumption is correct, that is what was assuming. I could order from amazon.com and have it shipped to Canada, my only issue with this is that the Canadian dollar is at an all time low and therefor I would be paying a lot more than I would by ordering things from amazon.ca, but I would really like to support the forum, I think it is brilliant idea.

Hi Mike and Liana,

Unfortunately, this may be true. The key thing is to remember to go to smile.amazon.com rather than www.amazon.com. Hence, without a smile.amazon.ca or a smile.amazon.co.uk web site (there doesn't appear to be one), it looks like the people in other countries sadly can't participate.

I hope that Amazon gets similar programs going soon, but for now it appears that we're out of luck.
