Anyone familiar with this bodywork Rosen Method? It claims to release repressed emotions thru touch.
I am not familiar with the Rosen method, but I think touch therapy ("bodywork") probably wouldn't have addressed all of my needs and personality style, which required and benefited from a more significant amount of talk therapy. However, that doesn't mean it won't work for someone else! A quick Google search shows that a number of people are happy with Rosen's approach.
Its compared more to psychotherapy than bodywork.
They say Rosen methods uniique form of sensitive touch and verbal communication helps people to become aware of what they are holding – physically and emotionally – in their body. When the body is allowed to reveal its truth in a space of non-judgement, it can relax and let go of stress and pain.
