RIP "Media" tab

After almost a year of work, I'm happy to say that we have finally removed the Media tab from our forum.

The bottom line: all of our videos have been moved to the Mindbody Video Library subforum and the old Media tab is gone. Details follow.

The Media Tab was a nice idea, but unfortunately the developer who made it has not done a good job of supporting it. Also, it wasn't integrated well with the rest of the forum, so people tended to not submit media, perhaps because they never saw discussions surrounding submitted media. Despite being featured with a tab in the main navigation bar, only 0.8% of our traffic went to the entire library. Also, it introduced a large amount of complex code to the forum, making it harder to maintain.

About a year ago, we started duplicating all videos in the old Media Tab in a new subforum:

I thank @Walt Oleksy for his great help with this in providing text to introduce many of the videos. With all the videos having been moved over, with our server upgrade and with Google having adjusted, the time has finally come to turn off the old tab. This will keep our site easier to maintain and simpler to use, focusing our limited resources on the parts of the site that are most important.

I hope you find the Mindbody Video Library subforum helpful!
