I have been doing pretty good with Somatic Experiencing and something called Open Focus. I noticed that my anxiety will shoot through the roof whenever I let my guard down and try and relax. I do manage to relax but that lasts about 3-4 mins and back to anxiety. I can clearly tell that my brain is learning to be calm and my amygdala is fighting as it's learning. Im hopefully yet uncomfortable. A few days ago I had a really great day followed by several hours of intense pain (extinction burst). I let it happen and continued with my practices. It eventually way to hours of calm.
