1) I have lost most of my fear of health issues. Migraines, insomnia, back pain, depression/anxiety, IBS, frequent urination. These things don't bother me anymore. I just remind myself not to subscribe to the fear and things always get better in a day or so. I have even aborted migraines by thinking of what I'm angry at.
2) I actually know what feelings are now. I have somewhat reconnected to sadness and actually cry and get emotional at things I never would blink at before. I used to say to my therapist that I never got angry, but now I recognize I get low-key angry a lot, although I have still yet to reconnect to my body sensations linked to anger.
3) I actually have some compassion for others, and understand why people have chronic health issues, and that I am not alone.
4) Not as harsh on myself. It's okay to have negative feelings and even embrace the sadness. Feelings will pass, and I will be happy some times and sad others, its unrealistic to think I should be happy all the time or I'm doing something wrong.
