but since I've never seen a therapist, are they allowed to do strictly phone sessions? I haven't had any luck finding a TMS-specialist in my area and would really like to start some therapy with someone trained in TMS.
I'm having some difficulty wrapping my head around all of these different approaches to journaling, mindfulness, etc., although I am making definite strides in realizing this is all emotional. And lo and behold (and it does make me laugh), my neck issues that started when Winter began (I hate Winter) have now magically switched into the ol' stomach nervousness/anxiety/quicker pulse rate that were all absent since I was focused on the neck area. But it is the dawn of Spring, so the conditioning commences, once again. I remember reading SteveO's line in his book to the effect that people suffering from anxiety are actually stronger than they can imagine. I know that nothing has happened to me after 20+ of this "disorder" and I keep it in control well, but man, I don't necessarily feel strong.
I guess all-in-all I'm having a hard time "getting going."
