Paranoid - Who me?

Stella

Well known member
I was walking with my TMS walking partner. She mentioned that a personality trait she has is being paranoid and she thought it was a TMS trait too. That seed of thought got planted in my brain then I, too, started seeing this in myself.

I really appreciated her mentioning this because it gave me additional insight and understanding into who I am. Do others have thoughts about being paranoid?

If we're going with the non-psychiatric definition of paranoia being "baseless or excessive suspicion of the motives of others" then I would agree that I am paranoid. My "suspicion of other's motives" basically comes down to fear and inability to trust.

I don't believe my thoughts are in line with the psychiatric definition pertaining to delusions, etc.
