Hi,
I am on day 15 of the program and I've found improvement for sure, but not full relief. The good news is I haven't missed a day of work in 2 weeks or even left early so that's great. My social life has bounced back as well and I am exercising, but I still have days that are battles. One thing for certain is that the pain is moving around, but it did that before I recognized it as TMS so it's hard to get a lot of solace from that.
Most of my pain/tenstion is in my neck, shoulders and occasionally at the base of the head (the worst) and scalp tension. It bounces around these areas and rarely sticks in one place. If it's in my shoulders it's pretty bearable, but I get this fear that it's going to start moving up into the base of my neck. I know it's a good sign that it's moving, but when it does I get gripped with this fear that's going to move to a more unbearable place and struggle with that.
I also have chronic pelvic pain and sometimes I get pain "down there" and when I do my neck is almost always fine. It's hard to say what's preferable, but I try to remember that's a good sign in itself. I also talk to my brain and remind kind of taunt it for flailing about, "Oh so you're moving around now? I must have you on the run, then? You're getting desperate." That kind of stuff. Pretty silly, but I think it helps.
