What was the most disheartening thing a doctor has told you about your symptoms? In what ways have you kept that in your mind?

The most disheartening thing a doctor told me about my back pain / herniated disc , was that I would have to live with that the rest of my life. And just figure out how to manage it. The back surgery they performed might help with sciatica, but would most likely still have the same pain level.

What's hard to swallow about this, is that I was so young at the time, 26, super active, and then unable to sit down for more than two minutes at a time.

It's been a great fear/anxiety for me about how I'm going to have a career in the future if I can't sit down for more than a few minutes during a meeting. And That Id have to Endure pain the rest of my life. and that something so simple as going out to dinner with friends would turn out to be a huge painful ordeal

The thing about the RSI in my hand/wrist, was that the doctors / PT/ hand specialists / neurosurgeons werent able to identify anything that was wrong. It was really annoying, and difficult to get treatment for something that they didn't know what the issue was. I'm now actually pretty perplexed how they didn't diagnose it as RSI. I mean really, what else could it be.

Hi, Douggie. Doctors sure have given you a lot of bad diagnoses and scared you. They obviously do not know about the MindBody connection with pain, or don't believe in it. Forget them, and if I were you I would not agree to any surgery for anything. It's a shame but I have come to believe that most doctors are just pill pushers or think surgery is the cure-all. Thank heaven new doctors are believing in the MindBody connection.

You are not going to be in pain the rest of your life, and will heal soon if you follow the SEProgram and discover your repressed emotions. Journaling in the SEProgram, I discovered I had repressed emotions going back to my boyhood. I healed from severe back pain thanks to believing 100 percent in TMS.

I think it's fair to say that most people who eventually come to explore and embrace the concept of psychogenically-induced pain have gone through many doctors and other practitioners, and have received multiple (and conflicting) nocebo diagnoses, and useless treatments.

Thanks Walt. yeah, I need to dig out those repressed emotions. I hope to heal hundred percent too the-that would be unreal. I'm already feeling better.

Yeah, it is sad that we have to go through so much pain, time, and financial resources to arrive at this "easy" solution.
