Pain is back

    TMS pain can go but return because of new emotional stresses we live with every day. I'm 86 and still have the MindBody TMS syptoms, but deal with them through TMS knowledge, deep breathing, and meditation.

    I often turn off the tv and sit and watch youtube videos on relaxation. One of my favorites is this one:

    Yeah, I still get flare ups. I've gone days, weeks, even months at a time with no pain though. I'm not too worried about it when it happens, although I admit its frustrating. Trick is not to start doubting - I fell into this trap before and then the pain just blew up out of control again. I remind myself that injuries don't "act up" - you're either healed or you're not, and if you're not, it shouldn't magically disappear for months at a time and then come back. Pain pathways get memorized though and can easily come back.
