Our inner child matters !

    Yes! It's taken me awhile to realize this. Thanks for posting the video.

    Here are some things we can say to ourselves and/or do to re-parent our inner child: (I got these from Dr. Nicole LePera's Twitter feed, who is great on the topic of C-PTSD)

    1. I can do things that are scary or difficult.
    2. Making mistakes is natural and I learn from them.
    3. I'm just feeling scared right now, and I'm safe.
    4. I show up to take care of myself.
    5. I did the best I could and tomorrow is another day.
    6. I can tell I need a good night of sleep before I make this decision.
    7. I'm stuck in my head again. I'm going to go move my body.
    8. I'm going to stop self-shaming and judging myself right now and do something I love.
    9. I give myself time to play and to just be without any outcome.
