Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone looking for a TMS doctor in the Bay Area.
If you do a Google search, you might come up with this guy, Ernest Cheng, DO:
eastbayspineandsports.com
His site lists TMS as a specialty with references to this Wiki among other well-known TMS resources and practitioners.
I had an appointment with him a little over a year ago, and he didn't know anything about TMS and seemed unfamiliar with the term. When I talked about Dr. Sarno he just gave me a blank look and quickly moved on to another subject. I didn't challenge him on it, although I should have. I left the appointment with a prescription for topical pain creme.
I forgot to post anything here because I wasn't active on the forums at the time and he isn't listed in the practitioners section.
Don't waste your time with this guy.
