Last night I watched an episode of Schitt's Creek that really resonated with me, and I hope to channel my inner "Alexis" when the perfectionist's voice in my head that is always worried about people’s judgments tries to take over.
It was the episode where David has to take his driver's license test again. When Alexis is trying her best to be supportive, she says, “David, who cares?” And he says emphatically, “People! People care!” And she keeps saying “Nobody cares, David!” (I just loved it when she came back to the car window to say it one more time to him before he went off to take his test!)
Eventually, David realizes that nobody cares what anyone else is really doing because they are focused on their own self. Which is so true! "Nobody cares!" is going to be my new mantra
