Any advice on combatting nightly anxiety nightmares? I've completely forgotten what it feels like to have a restful sleep. How can I deal with TMS and ruminating that's going on while I'm asleep?

Hi Eskimo. The subC can be very active while we sleep. I've had quite a bit of trouble with insomnia over the years, and a couple of things have really helped me. One is getting plenty of exercise during the day. Another is finding ways to de-stress. Try some meditation, breathing exercises, or relaxation techniques to see if you can decrease your anxiety. I used to have a hard time shutting down my brain before going to sleep. I was unable to "turn off the tapes" in my head. Now, thanks to exercise, yoga etc. I'm sleeping much more. Hope you find some relief too.
