New symptom after starting SEP program

I started the SEP program just 2 days ago and it's funny how the brain works. I'm doing it mainly for low grade fatigue and tension headaches. I already recovered from chronic dizziness two years ago and when my dizziness went away, i went through a month where my legs would just get so hot after doing a bit of walking outside. I was very confused as to what was going on but just decided to brush it off and wait it out. Then it went away.

Well, now after my second day of SEP, my lower legs started feeling heavy, tired, burning again. Same sensation as two years ago. I walked around 30 minutes under very hot sun today so I started thinking, maybe i am just not made for the sun. Or maybe i am lacking a vitamin. Or maybe i am diabetic. Then i realized, this is just a distraction from my brain. It doesn't need fixing. Then i thought, what can i do to make myself more comfortable to be able to relax for the rest of the evening? I remembered i had some cooling effect cream. I applied it and it instantly soothed the sensation. Then i was able to listen to just lay down and listen to some meditative music.

Now i worried that the cream is a distraction or it's reinforcing the belief that something is wrong. I guess it's not so much about the action but the intent? Happy to hear your thoughts.

For me, I lean into the idea that as long as you remember it's not fixing me, it's just temporarily alleviating my discomfort, you're good. For right now I still have to take medications that I would love to be off of at some point, because I won't be a functioning parent otherwise. I do still use a heating pad on really bad nights, though I chucked my cervical pillow, so I'm going piece by piece. I also stopped doing specific PT exercises for my back and hamstring because that always seemed to reinforce structural just in my mind, others can say I'm just doing this for mobility and flexibility.

All that to say, keep in mind you still need to do the work and you shouldn't have issues.

It sounds like you're headed in the right direction, @HappyCabbage!
My thoughts echo what @Rusty Red says ;)
