Hi all- just posting here for the first time, in need of support. I discovered TMS several years ago and have successfully (mostly) overcome chronic back and knee pain using the TMS methods. Was doing pretty well, until November when, out of the blue, I developed a severe case of constant belching and what seemed to be acid reflux. Started after eating pizza one night and despite taking anti acids, the PPIs, etc, it never went away. It’s been over two months now. I’ve met with a GI doc who is trying me on different meds and sending me for some non invasive tests, but so far no answers. The constant belching has now spread to (sorry for the TMI) gas throughout my lower gi system too. I’m honestly miserable. No amount of diet changes or meds seem to help. Just wondering if this could be TMS, even though it seems different due to it not being pain and instead being constant gas and belching. Wondering if anyone has any success stories with this type of issue and how you tackles it. So far, therapy, journaling, meditation are not having an impact on my symptoms. I’d rather not have to do any invasive tests to investigate this, but I’m wondering if I will need to in order to really buy into it being possibly TMS. thanks in advance for your support! :)

@Kittyk search the forums for tags like "ibs", "digestion", things like that. there are a number of posts about that, including mine. chronic digestive issues are what i have been dealing with and am seeing improvement. i had to go through the litany of fear-based trials of diet changes and avoidance of one food after the next until i was starving myself, losing weight, and getting no pleasure out of eating b/c my mind continued to wonder into the fear. i will not have invasive tests, period...personally, i do not trust conventional medicine for this as i hear stories of certain things making it much worse. just search any word on the forums here and you will find ample information and support for your inquiry. best to you, and you are going to kick this just like you did your back and knee pain. just relax and give it time. your brain is just finding other ways to express.

Hi there.....yes TMS is a genius set-up...let me tell you. In October 2020 i had a MAJOR betrayal by a so called friend...literally the next day...my intestines (& it still going) are CRAZY LOUD 24-7.....like CAR ENGINE LOUD . Its debilitating. I did go gastro specialist...they said IBS...but i didnt know IBS so loud.....but it started DIRECTLY after emotional event...so im going to be re-reading my Dr. Sarno "bibles". Fyi.......
