Following up here:

Rachel Zoffness has an excellent interview that just came out from the show Hidden Brain (host/interviewer is Shankar Vedantam).

She speaks so clearly to the point that pain is a warning signal produced by our brain and that the brain essentially decides what pain signals to send. Also that our brains are evaluating "all available data in every single moment of our lives." Pain is based on all of these factors that our brain evaluates, and there are physical, psychological, and sociological elements.

She gets close but never mentions TMS or Sarno or any of the connected resources. I was waiting for her to go there in some way.
Her website mostly pushes her own books, etc.
