necessary...... but not sufficient

    according to dr. Sarno and followers you should UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT the real psychological source of TMS pain: that's necessary .....but not sufficient, sadly.
    Next you have to ACT accordingly!
    And that's not ease, because of habits, old believes, conditionement, myths, tradition, authomatisms, environment.

    So, you can be a sincere convert to the TMS concept, but if when the pain flares again you regain fears, rage, worries and body alert, touching and monitoring... you lose once more the battle with your (over)protective brain.

    I mean: hard-rock INDIFFERENCE towards pain.
    But that's no easy and requires patience and persistence.

    of course !!! Courage also to accept that we are not the ideal/perfect person that we'd like to be.
    We are limited and can't achieve all that objectives, desires, aims, goals,... so coveted, and that generates a huge amount of rage. Our brain activates pain in order to repress all that rage and trick us.
    So, we think that we CAN'T DO IT because of difficult times with our physical/real pain (back, legs, arms, knees,....): our high self-image remains untouched and an enormous emotional suffering is avoided. Thanks brain !!! (or not). The solution: surrender to the truth. Surrender no to lose, but to triumph over the pain.
    Easy to say, difficult to do.
