I've resolved back/sciatic/glute pain before and funny enough in this last week leading up to my exam my brain has tried causing difficulty falling asleep, chest tightness, glute tightness, and brief shoulder pain which all resolved because I knew that they were tms and continued with the stress of this exam prep. Today while casually playing soccer all of a sudden I felt the characteristic twinge in my lower back and immediately the pain and severe stiffness started in my lower back. It's pretty frustrating mostly because I can't avoid this 8hr+ exam and so I just took nsaids and used back pain gel with the idea that I'm only doing it to make it through till the exam.
Thoughts out there on using temporary relief for these acute tms flares? I feel some self-judgement because normally I just continue living in spite of symptoms.
Thanks for reading!
