Day 4 Most disheartening news and how I kept it

What was the most disheartening thing a doctor has told you about your symptoms?
The news I was tested positive for HLAB27, I was told AS is incurable, to go home and read on NSAID, MTX and Biologic. I almost fainted on the spot.

In what ways have you kept that in your mind?
Initially, I was emotionally devastated, always crying, asking myself why I was born with the gene (why me???), and very fearful about my future. How was I as a daughter to my parents, whose bones were going to grow old and brittle faster than my parents'? How was I going to have children and so on ... ? All these kept on replaying in my waking mind daily, I felt like going mad coupled together with aching and pain which moved here and there.

You sure got a terrible diagnosis from that doctor. He should not be practicing medicine. I hope you have dismissed the diagnosis and have stopped worrying about your future physical health. You're still early in the SEProgram. Keep journaling to discover emotions that are causing your symptoms and worries.
