I had been having some dizziness, lightheadedness, brain fog. I did my own research and found that these can be symptoms of fibromyalgia. I went to my doctor, a woman, and asked her about this. She told me no, those things are just part of getting old (around 63 at the time) and sent me for a brain MRI which showed age related changes. She had consistently disregarded my complaints of generalized all over pain, too. I changed doctors.

It always infuriates me when people write off real concerns with "aging." It's such a cop-out. Maybe there are things that tend to regress with age but then what I would like to know is what can you do about it now? And then this doctor didn't even bother addressing your pain! That's crazy!
