Like Mind Like Body PT guest

MindBodyPT

Beloved Grand Eagle
Hi everyone,

I just listened this morning to Like Mind Like Body's newest podcast episode, guest was a PT on their advisory board who spoke about ways he and other PTs are treating chronic pain! I really enjoyed listening to it; although it wasn't an explicitly TMS approach the methods really were very similar. This PT uses most of the TMS principles (not sure if he's specifically familiar with Sarno), and hearing the way he approaches his patients is similar to what I do when I have the opportunity, though without the component of emotions or journaling specifically (though he might bring this up with some, it wasn't totally clear). He speaks primarily about the neuroscience basis of pain and changing pain through changing neural pathways. I'm heartened to hear someone more in the medical/PT "establishment" adopting TMS type methods and sounding so similar to others that found TMS through Sarno and more psychological theories. Gives me hope for the future of chronic pain treatment, very exciting!
